C&N Tree and Mulch Service
About C&N Tree & Mulch
A Family-Owned Tree Service Serving Springfield, Dayton & Columbus
C&N Tree & Mulch is owned and operated by Carl and Nichole Hoelscher, and yes, that's where the "C&N" comes from. For more than 16 years, we've helped homeowners across the Miami Valley and Central Ohio keep their properties safe, clean, and looking their best.
Carl started out as a certified welder and steel fabricator. After years in that trade, he wanted a change of pace and found it in tree work. He invited Nichole to join him, and before long, other family members followed.
We love being outside, seeing the difference a finished job makes, and helping people keep their homes safe and beautiful.
When you hire us, you won't get a rotating cast of subcontractors. You'll see the same faces, the same two C&N trucks, and the same commitment to doing the job right.
Today we're a small team of 5 to 7 people, most of us family, plus a few trusted crew members who work like family.
What We Stand For
Integrity
We give honest assessments and straightforward estimates. If a tree can be saved with trimming instead of removal, we'll tell you. If a job isn't something we do, we'll tell you that too. We'd rather earn your trust than make a quick sale.
Proactivity
We don't wait for problems to find you. We'll point out a dead limb over your roof or a tree leaning toward your driveway before the next storm does the damage. We show up when we say we will, keep you in the loop, and leave your property clean.
"Carl stopped by while my husband and I were doing yard work. He gave us a quote on the spot with a great price! His guys cut down branches that were over our house, cleaned the gutters, and even took some large pieces of a tree we cut down previously. His team was very friendly, and the cleanup was immaculate." — Chloe Fairchild
Why Choose Us
What We Do and Don't Do
We focus on tree and mulch work, and we do it well:
- Tree removal, including emergency and storm work
- Tree trimming and pruning
- Stump grinding and stump removal
- Mulch delivery and installation
We don't offer general landscaping or tree planting. Keeping our focus narrow is how we keep our quality high.
Most of our customers are homeowners, but we also work with commercial properties and HOA communities. With a bucket truck, crane, chipper, and commercial stump grinder, we're equipped for jobs of every size.
Insured, Registered & Local
C&N Tree & Mulch is registered with the State of Ohio and fully insured, so you're protected from the moment we arrive. Based in Springfield, we serve homeowners and businesses from Dayton to Columbus and everywhere in between.
